5 Easy STEPS TO PERFECT CORN BREAD

I actually tried this method out because of a friend who said,

“I love corn bread but could never get it right. One day it dawned on me to try it in the NuWave Oven and miracle of miracles – I CAN make corn bread!”

STEP 1: Mix cornbread as instructed on the Jiffy Cornbread Mix box. For thicker cornbread, use 2 boxes of Jiffy mix.

STEP 2: Pour Mix into the lightly greased round pan that came with the NuWave Oven or use a pan of either glass or metal that will fit into the Oven. Either one will work fine since I used the NuWave Oven pan and my friend used a smaller glass pan.

STEP 3: Place pan on the 1″ rack. Remember the 1″ rack is simply the 4″ rack turned upside down. Cover the pan with foil and set timer for 10 minutes

STEP 4: Once timer beeps, open lid, remove the foil, replace lid and reset timer for 15 minutes.

STEP 5:  Allow cornbread to cool a few minutes after the 15 minute timer goes off. Serve and eat! YES – it’s that simple.

Remember there is no pre-heating as required by the oven so the kitchen stays cool and you save money on gas or electricity. In fact, my last gas bill was only $8.00!

Easy Baked Ham with the NuWave

Tip of the Month

With Easter right around the corner here is the best way to cook your ham and eggs! To cook a ham: The cooking time is only 15 minutes per pound! You can cook up to an 8 lb ham without the bone and when you use the extender ring you can cook up to a 14lb ham with the bone. Place the ham on the 1″ rack. For best results, flip the ham 1/2 way thru and place your glaze over the ham for the last 5 minutes of cooking. You can still baste your ham with the juices right in the liner pan. If browning occurs before the cooking is complete, place foil over the ham. Hard boiled eggs: No need to boil! Place your eggs on the 1″ rack, cook on power level 9 for 10 minutes. When cooking is complete, remove eggs promptly and let sit until completely cooled.”
